Gate length in time division
#1
Hi

Would it be possible to set the Gate/trigger length in time division (1/4 1/8 1/16 1/32 1/64) and not only in ms.

Thanks

I too would love to see something like this. As an addition or alternative: Duration as measured in steps would get things in the ballpark, and could interact interestingly with things like groove and perhaps also in turn with things like break/jump, looping patterns, carrying over into the next pattern in an island, etc.

Oh yes, duration in steps is a great idea for a tracker!!

Absolutely. Time divisions win over ms for sequencing.

You can either use tables for this. Also the Note off command is your gate over multiple steps friend.

In my mind, tables are so closely associated with transposition that I don’t as often think of how far their FX can go. (I assume you’re referring to using the TRIG FX from within a table.) Thanks for the reminder!

Yep exactly. And with the coming version the tables had a big makeover as well.
