I initially wanted the Intellijel 7U stealth case, but they are really hard to get and cost quit a lot of money. So I decided to go the DIY route. With the help of a friend and his great skills and woodworking workshop, some of mine soldering skills, this is what came out on the other side.
Oak, 7U 104hp, 3A.
Soldering the bus boards took too long time to justify the little money saved by doing DIY. For the next case I will go for already assembled stuff.

That's nice. I particularly like the oak. Beautiful wood.

This reminds me of something I read, though paraphrased: Don’t get into DIY to save money or time. Get into DIY if you like building things.
For me personally, it would be one more on my already-too-long list of hobbies, so not happening.

That is very true, it is enough to just fail one build and the money saving aspect is screwed

! I do like building things tho. I have built around 15-20 modules so far, but the bus boards was really difficult due to the think copper traces.
On that note, now when I have a system that I can actrually play/jam on, I'm less inclined to building stuff and more leaning towards turning knobs.
