I've successfully used these FX but I'm still not clear on why they have letters? For example I've been able to us CVA on 3 FX column (same row) to set 3 different CV outputs. Why would I bother to use B-H?

I remember that this has been discussed here before.
Easy: If I would use numbers then i would definitely get the question why I can only use the first 8 CV outputs for the FX. It would look like that using CV3 can only output on CV3 and using CV2 to output on CV9 might be a bit confusing.
Why would you bother using b-h:
Because now you can use 8 at the same time from the patches. There is no real benefit from the FX but the power comes with the patches.

Yup, that makes sense. I tried searching the forum, I really did. I even used the browser search clicking each page of what I thought might be the relevant topics. Thanks for writing it up again. Hopefully my heading will help someone in the future. I am using the patches to control CC in the MIDI track and using the names so that it's clear what the patches do. Very useful, makes sense that it works the same in the More CV 16. Thanks for clarifying.
