I know Nerdseq can record MIDI in. Is it possible to record an entire set/song in Ableton, one track at a time, into the Nerdseq to essentially "transfer" the MIDI?
I'm looking into a portable hybrid setup for performance using the Nerdseq as the brain. One way to do this would be to trigger MIDI in Nerdseq and process in Ableton, maybe muting Ableton tracks with a midi controller as a way to move from one song to another. Another option would potentially be to play the songs from the Nerdseq and process in a Raspberry PI running Renoise.
In both cases, ideally I'd have all the songs programmed in Nerdseq instead of triggering pre-recorded clips in a DAW. But I would like to avoid programming existing tracks one note at a time into the Nerdseq.
Is it possible to do this?
