Quote:- added squaresample to the waveforms (for the toddlers [Image: wink.png] )
- added Pulswidth Change for squarewave through offset FX command (also from automators usable for some nice PWM sweep)
Oooh yeahhhh!!! It might be for toddlers, but it gives me one more extra waveform/sample when making a PWM-bass. Big Grin

Quote:- added Trigger as Sample FX effect. Triggers 1..6 can also be controlled from the sample tracks. Makes probably sense when using a waveform and want to trigger an envelope at the same time.
That'll be useful for sure! Not only for waveforms... but also to layer drum samples with some extra noise sizzle and for example thumping bassssss!

Ohhh, by the way... (almost forgot because I got excited about RC2)
Please check the SEGA-controller code... For the I/O-expander...
I just tried it, after a long time... And It seems very glitchy.

For example:
If I go to an FX column and press START (on the controller) it starts inputting "Random" values and at the same time jumping to a column to the left and inputting values there... until it is at the most left column... then it just starts filling the note column with "random" notes and note-offs.

p.s.
A). This was in RC1
and
B). Might be that my controller is just fu(k3d after years of abuse. (can't seem to find another one at this moment)
or
C). That it is supposed to do that... Wink I can't seem to find what the knobs should be doing, in the manual.

I will check the Sega stuff before the release. But i expect it to be the same as it ever was, so i assume your controller doesn't love you anymore Blush
Sega controller update is still on my list and will get the implementation that it deserves at some point.
I just found a second SEGA-controller and tried that. And that also has some glitchy behaviour.
It glitches a bit different though. If I press "start-button" on that controller it also inputs random values, but only randomly scrolls from right to left while inputting these random values. Not down and to the left as my other controller did.

What I think is strange, is that if I must believe this schematic:
https://gamesx.com/wiki/doku.php?id=cont...ntroller_3
The UP and DOWN buttons on the controller are going (almost) straight into the NerdSeq... And are not connected to the START button except for the resistor-array. And when using them to navigate the NerdSeq also works as expected. I will try to see if the problem is in the resistor-arrays (of both units) if I have some laying around.

Otherwise I suspect the scanning of the button presses... I'll go and measure thing now.

This all isn't a big problem for me though, I never really use the controller anyway. I just tried because I had an idea of connecting/hacking some encoders to the controllers, because Hein wanted to use euclidean input with a knob, to have instant snare-rolls in live situations... I thought of hacking it with the I/O controller-port... That's when I noticed it wasn't doing what I wanted, and was a bit bitchy-glitchy.

---------------------------
Edit: It can't be the Resistor-Array in the controller, because both controllers just have 9 separate 10K resistors instead. There is a 100nF (I think it is decoupling) cap in there as well. I will see if replacing that will solve me problem.
--------------------------
Edit: Edit: Nope, it wasn't the decoupling caps either. :_(
came along a thing. i patch cv out 1 into a vco 1v/oct input... and now i patch the sample 7 output into a mixer input (). as soon as it is patched the cv out goes slightly off. like there is some voltage drifting. and it seems to happen for all cv-outs. i must admit i have no idea if that was like it before
Is it possible to implement Automation FX from the sample tracks too? (Like you did with trigger from samplertracks)
This in combination with the Waveforms could be very handy. Now I go to a CV/Gate track and use an ASL0-7 FX there to for example resync an LFO that I use to pitchbend an oscillator. It works but is a bit of a deroute.

Heart the PWM waves!

I can't reproduce that. Is it a external mixer? Is it possible that your main voltage drops? All grounded well together?

Yes sure, but not now. It's on my list.

i guess that must be the issue than, as it is a self built case and powersupply.
RC3:
- changed the order for modular track player so tables are handled right after the FX
- Mark, Copy + Paste + Delete now possible in the sequencer screen while a running sequencer
- Even more CV16 stuff under the hood
Is track lenght going to be in that release?
