  Table Cursor and Sample Preview
Posted by: note! - 01-14-2018, 03:06 AM - Forum: Feature requests - Replies (6)

Hi!
First of all, incredible job on NerdSeq. It's such a pleasure to work with! And now I can stop using LSDJ to sequence through Yarns Smile

Two quick requests after playing for a few hours.
1) Is it possible to have a cursor in the table view that shows how its stepping through as the table is triggered? I know LSDJ has this and it's really helpful to see what your table is actually doing.

2) Sample preview - this would be super helpful when loading samples!

I imagine there are more MOD changes to come in the future (envelopes, LFO, etc.) so I won't ask for that just yet!! Thanks again.

Can't sync to Pamela's New Workout
Posted by: cfunk - 01-11-2018, 09:02 PM - Forum: General Questions - Replies (1)

I am using a pam's new workout as a master clock and I don't seem to be able to master sync the pam to the NS on slave.

The pam is setup to be 24ppqn. I slave the NS to one of its outputs and set it to slave, but it gets out of sync very quickly.

Any comments on this ?

Thanks

brk 001 only at the end of pattern
Posted by: Trooper - 01-10-2018, 10:57 AM - Forum: Feature requests - Replies (2)

the new brk works only at the end of a pattern

would be realy cool, if one could do it within a pattern, so to say:
play row 1 to 5 2times,
row 6 to 10 4times
row 11 to 14 2times
and at the end the normal brk for the whole pattern

is that possible ? Rolleyes

  [DONE]Shift rows
Posted by: resynthesize - 01-10-2018, 06:58 AM - Forum: Feature requests - Replies (6)

I would like the ability to shift all rows in a pattern up or down with a keyboard shortcut.

For example, starting with this:

00 C-2
01 ---
02 D-2
03 ---

Pressing the shortcut to shift down once would result in this: (all rows shifted down)

00 ---
01 C-2
02 ---
03 D-2

Conversely, pressing the opposite shortcut would shift them back up, so you end up where you started.  I don't have a preference as to what happens to rows that get pushed off the stack, maybe they can wrap back around to the other side or just be purged.

Shift+Down/Shift+Up seem like logical key combos to me, but I don't really care what they are as long as there is some fast way to do it.

This will make editing a lot faster (for me at least!)

Thanks!

  regarding patches..
Posted by: holo - 01-08-2018, 04:12 PM - Forum: General Questions - Replies (11)

hi, some questions..
1. when i set some output value (cv, mod..) in a patch this value is immediately distributed to its destination no matter if this patch is actually active in a pattern or not. is this the way it has to be?

2. that may be a bug? i have patch 00 and 01 which set different values for the same destinations (00 sets cv1 to x and 01 sets cv1 to y). patch 00 is on track 1 and patch 01 on track 2 and both use trigger1 but on different steps. when i change the cv1 setting on one of the patches both tracks output on cv1 what was last set for cv1 no matter which patch.

and feature requests:
3. what about shift-ok to clone a patch?

4. page up and down is unused in the patch editor. why not use it to go to the next or previous patch?

random patch selection should be fun. maybe with patch number range limits?

  midi clock setup -> reset
Posted by: holo - 01-05-2018, 12:43 PM - Forum: Beauty and less important bugs/glitches - Replies (6)

hi, i was a bad boy  Wink
power up - project setup - clock to midi slave - start midi sequencer (nerdseq still in setup view) -> nerd reset
fw 1.10

tried a few ways with a pattern available and it behaved flawless.. doesn't seem to be a real problem then.

another clock related thing is that the clock output stays quiet now after starting midi when no pattern is available. it would be nice to have it started.

  Firmware V1.11
Posted by: XORadmin - 01-03-2018, 03:24 PM - Forum: Firmware - Replies (13)

A new years release with some minor changings and fixes:

- Changed Delete with moving up and marked delete with moving up. Uses the UP button now instead of the DOWN button. ( SHIFT+UP+DELETE)
- When navigating through the FX types in the pattern screen, the Pitch, FX and tempo settings are getting default values instead of 00. Here tempo gets the current tempo setting automatically
- Fixed that when a JUMP (via break) is active, that another (not quantized) pattern that is selected to play next will now play as expected
- Break got a new function. Now if a value in the break function is filled in, then it repeats the pattern X times (value)
So for break they are these possibilities:
BRK  000  ->  Breaks the pattern after the current position
BRK  105  ->  Player jumps to pattern row 5
BRK  002  ->  Player repeates the pattern 2 times (plays it 3 times) (to break position)
As the sample tracks got 2 tracks inside and if the repeat and Jump commands are used on the same row, then the Jump got a higher priority
Also here, if a new pattern is selected to be played next, the repeat function is being canceled and the BRK works like a BRK 000

Updated manual here:

Happy new year!

1-Can you record live via CV inputs ?

2-Is there a way to program 3 of the outputs for polyphony ?

Thanks !
