add 4th page to "More Triggers" Pattern Screen
Posted by: banjodan - 07-21-2019, 09:08 PM - Forum: Feature requests - Replies (4)

I have an application for my More Triggers expander that requires all 16 outputs. It would be really nice if I could manipulate them all from the same track without having to swap TR1-TR8 for TR9-TR16. Would it be possible to add a 4th page to the Pattern screen that has TR9-TR16? Then maybe the swap function just swaps the order of pages 1 and the new page 4 so that TR9-16 show up on page 1 and TR1-TR8 show up on page 4. That would be so helpful!

  Mute/UnMute trigger seq
Posted by: cavimaster - 07-21-2019, 01:55 PM - Forum: General Questions - Replies (4)

Hi here,

Sorry because it is maybe a dumb question but I can't find how to "mute/UnMute" a specific output in the trigger seq mode (with 16trigger extension)
If I have th BD on out1, snare on out2, CH on out3 , etc. I would like quickly mute/UnMute a spécific output. You know wath I mean ?

It is possible ? and if yes how ?

Thank you  Heart
... and sorry for my english

  SPFX 002 Gate/Trig stays high
Posted by: Barney Rubble - 07-20-2019, 10:51 AM - Forum: Beauty and less important bugs/glitches - Replies (7)

Set CV Track to 4* speed - Pattern 1 some notes and triggers

Pattern 2 contains SPFX 002 Track Stop now

When I run pattern 2 SPFX 002 the gate/trig output remain at 5v

This behaviour does not happen at 2* or Normal speed - the gate/trig is 0 volts when SPFX 002 is run.

Is this a bug related to the trigger expander just posted?

Gates on Trigger Expander fire after song stop command
Posted by: Acheface - 07-20-2019, 09:44 AM - Forum: Beauty and less important bugs/glitches - Replies (1)

It might be my user error, but after an SPFX003 (stop song immediately) command, all gates fire once on my Trigger Expander, when I would expect silence.

  Respond to program change
Posted by: MikkoM - 07-20-2019, 08:01 AM - Forum: Feature requests - Replies (3)

It would be nice if Nerdseq would handle incoming program changes.

What I mean is that program change 32 f.ex, would immediately (or after current pattern ends) start track playing at row 32.
Combined with bank change all sequencer rows could be handled.

If there is independent input midi channels for each track and and additionally one global input midi channel for all tracks, that would also handle starting individual track playing at position xx and all tracks starting to play at position xx depending on what midi channel program change was received.

That would be nice to have feature that would enable syncing two nerdseq's or sync nerdseq to other sequencers: cirklon/elektron gear/daw etc..

Additionally, instead of program change messages, first 127 rows could be also handled by incoming midi notes... that means that it could be possible to start different parts of song just by playing normal midi keyboard.

  Project settings Edit Off
Posted by: LonzoB - 07-20-2019, 07:20 AM - Forum: General Questions - Replies (3)

Is there any way to Turn off Edit globally? I see it in Project settings, but when you load another project it is off. I'd like to lock editing for playing live.

Thanks!  Smile

  Input monitoring ?
Posted by: roolib - 07-18-2019, 01:01 PM - Forum: Feature requests - Replies (3)

Hello !

Firstly thanks for your hard work, the Nerdseq is amazing !!!

I don't find the topic, but I guess it already appeared somewhere, or maybe already solved...

Is there a way to add monitor incoming cv or midi, like, playing some keyboard on a track without recording anything ?

Once again, thanks a lot for your hard work !!

  my noob questions
Posted by: mathieu morel - 07-18-2019, 11:34 AM - Forum: Nerdseq - Replies (3)

Found it, solved, done, cancel...
I had a look at the manual, like a grownup

"Hey there!
very pleased to have finally time to explore this great module.
I did not really payed attention to the manual,
I'm a bit allergic... I know, I should rtfm more...
Is there a way to pre-listen samples while pattern is playing?
I'm loosing a bit of time going back and forth in the sample file..
Thanks a lot"

  Midi Mute and Mod output
Posted by: Barney Rubble - 07-17-2019, 07:24 PM - Forum: Feature requests - Replies (1)

Not so much feature requests but just some things I noticed

Mute midi track - does not send note OFF
On drone/pads would be great if muting would send note off - only workaround is to stop track

Pattern CV screen
Mod column value remains - no reset to 0

Even when I switch between projects the mod values carry over to the next project which is a pain

If using mod for vca or vcf cut off would be great if on song stop if mod value would reset to 0  - perhaps a Nerd function?

  Automation: constant voltage
Posted by: Acheface - 07-16-2019, 05:32 PM - Forum: Feature requests - Replies (3)

In my workflow I often set constant voltages from the Mod outputs, in order to change 'presets' on other modules (e.g. Braids META mode).
I know I can set this from the clips (even with FX if the track type doesn't normally use Mod), but sometimes it would be much easier to be able to set it from the Automate section, so that the voltage is easily set for the entire project. The offset graphic is much clearer than the hex values in the sequencer.
I tried to set a constant voltage from the Automate menu by setting up an LFO with an offset, but the LFO Range won't go down to zero.
So my feature request is either for the possibility to set the LFO range to zero, or to have a separate Constant Voltage automation type.
