  First day with Nerdseq
Posted by: Patate le mage - 03-23-2018, 08:53 PM - Forum: General Questions - Replies (1)

I received it yesterday, and i have to say it's far far away from my expectations, what a marvellous module. Heart Heart Heart

Not easy to understand, but potential is huge.

There is one difficulty i was not able to understood so far.

I made a little pattern and i attached a table to it, on the first step of it.

When i remove this table from the pattern view it continues to be active and transform my pattern.

Probably a misunderstanding from me, but i'm not sure.

  screensaver?
Posted by: resynthesize - 03-17-2018, 06:24 PM - Forum: General Questions - Replies (2)

I leave my modular on most of the time.  Is there any issue with screen burn in on the nerdseq display since there is no screensaver?  I haven't noticed anything so far but wanted to check so I don't have a problem 6 months down the road.

  Cursor Location after Pasting
Posted by: note! - 03-16-2018, 05:36 PM - Forum: Feature requests - Replies (5)

Hi! I do a lot of copying and pasting and it would be really helpful if the cursor could move to the space directly under what you just pasted. It would save me a lot of relocating the cursor - especially when I'm copying and pasting triggers, drum patterns. That way you could just do PASTE, PASTE, PASTE instead of PASTE, down down down down, PASTE, down down down - does that make sense?

Just a thought!

  Firmware V1.14
Posted by: XORadmin - 03-07-2018, 10:35 AM - Forum: Firmware - Replies (5)

Minor update which fixes a small issue:

When creating new patches the init value for tempo was 128 bpm. Now there is no init value anymore for the tempo.
Patches from old projects will be updated automatically.

*SOLVED* BPM changing on pattern start
Posted by: note! - 03-05-2018, 04:20 AM - Forum: Beauty and less important bugs/glitches - Replies (6)

I have a song set to 140 however sometimes, when I'm triggering a new pattern to start, it will set it back to 128. I checked that there were no BPM FX anywhere. It's happened multiple times in the same file with different patterns. So weird..

Option to use note row like the mod row[DONE]
Posted by: knights who say neve - 03-04-2018, 03:21 AM - Forum: Feature requests - Replies (5)

Would it be possible to have an option to use the note row like a mod row, i.e. with a 12 bit value instead of a note value?

That way, non-standard scales could be recorded directly via the CV in to the note row or typed in directly, instead of having to use the mod row for that and losing the ability to send a separate mod value to something else.

  Sample Settings (Loop, Length, Scrub)
Posted by: note! - 03-02-2018, 02:24 PM - Forum: Feature requests - Replies (5)

Hi! Curious if the idea of sample patch screens have been entertained? Would be great to be able to change sample loop settings (one shot, loop, pingpong, manual) for each sample to expand the possible uses of the sample channel. Being able to load up a wave sample from a your favorite hardware synth and set to loop would be huge!

Combined with that, would be great to include loop start and end points for that sample. This could also be handled with FX, I imagine! This is probably going too far but, if set to manual, would it be possible to have an FX that 'scrubs' or steps through the sample. I'm thinking of the F command in LSDJ. Works INCREDIBLY well with tables.

(Sorry I always refer back to LSDJ - I def don't want NerdSEQ to become LSDJ. It's already way more powerful and exciting! I refer to just because it's my most familiar tracker. Only have a little but of experience with FamiTracker, Milky and AdLib but those diff beasts.)
