Tables for more trigger expander - theotteryears - 11-14-2021 Hi, Can we use tables with the more trigger out expander? Thanks! Hope it gets implemented. Also for the More CV 16 and MIDI which have collumns for it. RE: Tables for more trigger expander - theotteryears - 11-15-2021 thinking about this... in my case only, if you could space out the retriggers equally then a retrigger of 6 per step should work as well. but then the retriggers will need to be revamped into musical divisions of the tempo. RE: Tables for more trigger expander - mvdirty - 11-15-2021 In my system I derive 16ths from a division of the main 24ppqn clock output, but I can definitely understand the appeal of easily outputting them from a spare output, freeing up a downstream clock divider module (or its HP,) etc. For my own uses of Trigger 16 tables, I’d be more likely to wrap up and reuse across patterns various percussion modulation (eg varying hi hat velocity and/or decay, which I usually drive from FX lanes and output on track cv or mod) which is not strictly random and/or which is not necessarily clocked on every step. That out of the way, count me among the folks that would love to see tables and patches for all track types! Partly for conceptual consistency, partly for specific use cases, but also because tables in particular inspire me in a way that I cannot quite describe. To make an attempt at describing it: It is probably something in relation to “breaking out of the loop” beyond the use of probabilities/conditions/etc., a sequence of which are specifically associated with a given pattern and which run strictly in time with its advancing steps. Hmm. Upon thought, it gets my brain going similarly to how polymeter is still loopy but contributes to breaking out of the loop without invoking randomness. Anyway… Maybe that gets enough of the idea across for now. RE: Tables for more trigger expander - depaffect - 11-16-2021 Tables are awesome and having trigger16 tables would be FUN. I'd love to put drum rhythms in tables and sequence those. Like imagine different breakbeat patterns or something - would be great. |
