Triggering Pulsar 23 with trigger expander - Oliv Oliv - 07-08-2025
Ive got an issue that i want to solve. I sequence my Pulsar 23 with my nerdseq + trigger expander. Triggers are ±5v ranging from 10-80ms. this is not enough for full velocity (10volt) on the pulsar so I purchased the doepfer quad level shifter A-183-4. Now the triggers should reach at least 10v but still they sound like they are not reaching their full velocity. Also the LED indicates that it gets a lower voltage trigger. Am i missing something here?

Is the A183-4 correctly set to it's 12 Volt setting with its jumpers?
You should measure the voltages to be sure whats happening.

Indeed, it was set to 12 volt with its jumpers, apparently they printed it wrong on the pcb. changing it to 5v makes it output 12volt now. problem solved
