Phenomenal work with all the development going into Nerdseq. This is probably the single most powerful hardware sequencer ever, both euro and non-euro, and it's still expanding!!

I seem to remember an early days video that had you explaining that you didn’t necessarily need to have the faceplate at all and keep the board underneath. Is that still the case?

That was just for the first I2C only prototype which I didn’t make in the end. You don’t need it of course and put it into the rack, but you couldn’t access the USB midi and the knob/buttons anymore then.

Will it be possible to connect the Launchpad to one USB-port and a computer keyboard to the other USB-port of the i2c-expander simultaneously? It won't work that way.
One is a USB Client port (to connect to a computer) the other is a USB Host port (for the lauchpad), it's not just a matter of matching plugs.

The USB-Midi expander won't support USB computer keyboards. For that you need to use the Video Expander.
The plan is indeed to use a faderbank as input on one I2C port and use the other as output (one as leader and one as follower)
Not sure about 2022. Still didn't touch the 'computer keyboard' for coding yet and when the new assembly is arriving which is very soon, then the big pile of backorders need to be produced first!
