I had video expander as a placeholder for i2c on modulargrid so I'm glad it is indeed 6 hp RE: I2C Expander - Retape - 08-31-2022 How deep is the module? Really looking forward to it! Just like the Trigger16 or CV16 RE: I2C Expander - atomboyd - 09-28-2022 (08-31-2022, 11:33 AM)XORadmin Wrote:(08-31-2022, 11:25 AM)Retape Wrote: How deep is the module? Really looking forward to it! I seem to remember an early days video that had you explaining that you didn’t necessarily need to have the faceplate at all and keep the board underneath. Is that still the case? Really looking forward to it! That was just for the first I2C only prototype which I didn’t make in the end. You don’t need it of course and put it into the rack, but you couldn’t access the USB midi and the knob/buttons anymore then. RE: I2C Expander - Cyber_Imp - 10-04-2022 I have my midi/gamepad input under my skiff currently with a wireless controller but this is super enticing! RE: I2C Expander - KitKatAndy - 10-26-2022 Will it be possible to connect the Launchpad to one USB-port and a computer keyboard to the other USB-port of the i2c-expander simultaneously? If so are there any recommendations for a computer keyboard with USB-B or may I just use an adapter like this: https://www.ebay.de/itm/403908480420?chn=ps&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=707-134425-41852-0&mkcid=2&mkscid=101&itemid=403908480420&targetid=1404115578893&device=c&mktype=pla&googleloc=1004234&poi=&campaignid=17935704717&mkgroupid=139162549385&rlsatarget=pla-1404115578893&abcId=9301059&merchantid=7364532&gclid=Cj0KCQjwteOaBhDuARIsADBqRejOjMcmnN8tLWQYiFNtITtqDcfh-jEpNUTSJQwWTmRvgVBm1mHYiqcaAlnpEALw_wcB Will there also be the possibility to use for example the Faderbank 16n (as a follower or 2nd master?) to configure to certain functions within the Nerdseq? Is there even a horizon of "development-finish-to-release"? Still in 2022? RE: I2C Expander - recliq - 10-26-2022 It won't work that way. One is a USB Client port (to connect to a computer) the other is a USB Host port (for the lauchpad), it's not just a matter of matching plugs. For that you need to use the Video Expander. The plan is indeed to use a faderbank as input on one I2C port and use the other as output (one as leader and one as follower) Not sure about 2022. Still didn't touch the 'computer keyboard' for coding yet and when the new assembly is arriving which is very soon, then the big pile of backorders need to be produced first! |
