loaded another project while the sequncer was running. i kept running but with a funny effect which i can hardly describe. it sounded wild
back to normal after stop start.

Well...there is no intention at this point to allow loading a project while keeping playing. Since you load a lot of stuff and change settings to many different parameters this is not a good idea...not to mention that loading is very memory intensive and can interfere all the timings.
I don''t know of any DAW that can load a new project while keeping playing....
Also i thought the sequencer would stop when loading a new project

it happened accidentially and i'm not expecting you to make it work.
but i also expected that it would just stop. that'd be preferrable, but not urgent
