The Launchpad Thread

I have a Launchpad MK2 and two different USB-Host to MIDI Adapter that are working fine:
- Retrokits rk006
- Kenton MIDI USB Host

PS: With the rk006 you have to use split brain mode so it's not routing the output from the nerdseq back to the nerdseq.

And here I thought my brand new MioXM wasn't going to use those I should have just bought the rackmount version.... Tho have a older Motu MTP-AV 8 in and 8 out USB midi controller, its ancient but old standalone gear works so well xD

Will have to try my old MK1, tho a Pro for the color might be on my list.

MK1 is not supported. I tried with Launchpad S models once and they didn't seem to be class compliant.

Xor, the manual says the mini mk3 will not work, however just watched the video on it, saying it supports full USB midi implementation so I assume it should work like the pro or mk2 with a USB midi host. Need someone to test it out? I'll bite the bullet and pick up the mk3 mini, it looks neat in a tight space!

Yes but what does full USB Midi integration mean ;-)

As mentioned before it shows up as multiple devices and if your midi host is not able to select them then it won’t work.

No idea what full midi implementation means, but Im assuming Novation meant that it is Midi Class Compliant over some USB standard, That I can map with some config application thingy. I like the word Thingy! I digress....   Alright, a Minipad it is!

Hello there!

Would someone be so kind and upload simple project file where launchpad connectivity has been integrated into it in the settings. I tried step-by-step according to the manual, but could not get the signal.

There you are.
If you get no connection please check your launchpad settings (eg if the midi ports are on) and be sure that midi in goes to out and midi out goes to in.

I remember the first time I wasn't aware I had to put the Launchpad in programmer mode, but then I didn't follow the manual step-by-step. Big Grin
