As it is now, if I want to clone a pattern, but keep the original pattern where it is, I have to copy the original pattern, paste it somewhere else, then clone the pasted pattern.
Another way is to create a new pattern in the desired location, move through all the existing patterns until I get to the pattern I want to clone, then clone it.
Is there an easier way to clone a pattern but keep the original pattern in the original location unchanged?
When I'm working on a pattern and then want a clone directly below I hit the following keys:
CURSOR DOWN
SHIFT+RIGHT
SHIFT+LEFT
SHIFT+OK
The same pattern basically works for any other pattern in any other place no matter how "far away" from the original. Especially the SHIFT+LEFT/RIGHT (and UP/DOWN) are used everywhere else and are part of my fingers muscle memory (meaning: happen w/o me thinking).
Having a special shortcut for the case when the clone is supposed to be directly below the current pattern and using another key combo for all other cases kind of defies the benefit of muscle memory.
Are you guys sure this would enhance overall workflow?
Just my thoughts,
Michael
