Tempo clocked LFO
#1
What is the proper way to create a tempo clocked LFO.  I've tried using Automations N*STEPS/STEPS but it is way too fast even at the lowest speed.  Also, I'm using the CV16 expander.

Thanks

I figured out what I was doing wrong.  N*STEPS & STEPS does the trick.

Yes N*Steps is N complete LFO waveforms per step.

And STEPS is that the complete LFO Waveform will last several STEPS.
The amount of both is defined by the speed field of the automator.

By the way: I don't suggest to route too many Automators to the CV16 as it generates much data. The best is to use the local CV outputs for automator stuff.

Thanks for the info.

What is the proper way to reset the LFO at the start of a pattern/play?  I've tried adding the automator reset but this only seems to work at the end of the pattern and the next pattern loop plays as expected.

Thanks

How do I use the local CV's for this? I assume the track type should be modular but I only see "Note" for the CV column.

Thanks

I guess we are talking about different things. You can route/connect automators to the local CV/MOD outputs. It doesn't have anything to do with the Note column but it is for the CV output. That does work from every tracktype (except track 7 and 8 obviously).

What I need is to apply the LFO to run on one of the local CV's instead of the CV16. I only mentioned the "Note" column in the pattern because it differs from how the CV16 works.

I have an LFO set up in Automator using CV/Track 5 is set to CV but its not working.

Then just use the CV as the destination. It is one of the destinations in the modulation matrix of the automator.

It's working now. SMH I literally tried this 3 times. Thanks

Now, back to reset the LFO on play of a pattern? If I reset at the end of the pattern it works as expected but not at the beginning of play.
