Currently finding the launchpad's integration with the Trigger Expander a little unintuitive. I'd much prefer to have full access to all 64 steps simultaneously, and instead choose between trigs 1-8 using the side buttons.
I've also noticed that the Launchpad only interacts with the NerdSeq if assigned to MIDI channel 1. If I assign it to any other channel, nothing happens, and on some occasions would prevent NerdSeq from interacting with the Launchpad at all until I powercycle the NerdSeq.

Edit Reason: missed question part 2
)
Thanks got it working is the only thing I cant get to work is I cant get into a pattern to edit it from the launchpad whats the correct buttons to press , tried shift and the pad but nothing working and what do you using to edit notes and triggers etc .
Too enter a pattern (make sure the patterns are coloured so that you can see them) Thus is Ableton mode - Press button "C" on the right hand side of the LP and the pattern you want to enter.
Exit pattern back to sequencer press the LP button labelled "User" top right.
As I said before this works well for tracks 1 to 6 but if you enter a sample pattern on track 7 or 8 the only way out is to use nerdseq sequencer button.
Once inside the Pattern switch to Note mode set the Midi channel on LP note mode to 2 - then you can set Nerdseq Midi Step ch to 2 for step editing depending on cursor position. For recording/live play set Nerdseq Midi Ch 2 to Track 1 Input/Record or whatever track you want note play. Set Nerdseq to record and if settings also correspond you should be recording notes enter from the LP..
Thomas has indicated this is not finished yet so there are limitations with using the LP at present.
Anyways the above should get you up and running.
Cheers

Thanks for all your help got it working now , do you have any of the expanders , as when I go to track setup and select the expander then come out to the sequencer the track is set to modular again do you need to do something else to save it .

When using the launchpad with the expander when I input triggers they don’t show on the nerdseq screen but are triggering the expander.

Quick question: Input Record Setup what is the CC Mapping for ?
I've searched the forum but not found any reference to that function.
