Release Candidate Firmware V1.20 RC5
I just updated to V1.20 RC4 which fixes all the current known issues and adds some cool new stuff.
If all is well now i will make this the final release. So go on, test the stuff. I plan to release in approx. 1-2 weeks from now.
Also, they have been 2 reports of triggers hanging when using Midi recording. I couldn't reproduce it at all (with the same hardware) and didn't get any more response which could help to find the issue. I will leave it as it is for now and if it appears to happen to you as well, be sure you can provide me all the details and most important how to reproduce it, so it can be fixed.

Also at last, the bootloader might look weird from now on. The code crossed a barrier in size where the progressbar returns to zero again and continues to run. This is only a visual issue, when the flashing succeeded (as usual) then it still says Update succeed and all is fine. So no worries, all is fine!!

* Update RC4 *
- added mute and Solo for trigger16 expander (works like regular mute/solo but then in the trigger16 pattern screen on triggers 1..8/9..16 or drummatrix)
- added mute to launchpad in trigger16 screen on top buttons
- Fixed some Launchpad Colours
- Colours on Launchpad for uncoloured Patterns on sequencer screen
- New recording functions for CV/Gate and Trigger recordings including delayed recordings for slow CV's (keystep workaround)
- added CV passthrough mode
- added Volt/Hz and 1.2V/Oct (buchla) scaling for outputs (couldn't test with hardware myself, so this is up to you)
- Added 'Nudge' function, (project screen->Tempo->SHIFT+OK+UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT) for fine and rough nudge
- little visible fix for DINSYNC
- added 'enter pattern on OK' function (setup setting). Also OK creates only a new pattern when the field was empty.
- If no pattern is available anymore, add a status message. Fixed also a bug if the last available pattern was used.
- Bugfix when using stop track functions (trigger staying on fixed)
- added note transpose of marked values from sequencer screen (really changes notes in the patterns)
- added MOD note transpose
- added function to change global transpose on a zero transition or when pressing/holding OK changing directly
- Added track transpose to sequencer screen Nerd menu. All tracks have also their own transpose now.
- Fixed loading issue of older projects < V1.19 where the automator settings were messed up
- added pre-listening also for midi tracks when pressing OK or holding OK and navigating (also polyphonic)
- fixed Page UP/Down in sequencer screen when marked

Peace!

Love the OK button update :-)
Midi Track Transpose - not functioning - by design?

Thanks! Track transpose, MS20, Easel... (I hope Easel's "pulse" input will understand Nerdseq's "gate") - very good! But wait - isn't MS20 gate "polarity" is inverse? It is. So can we change also gate polarity for dedicated Nerdseqs trigger out to run MS 20?

Midi track transpose just works as adversited...i bet you either had Midi Input turned off or the avoid transpose function of that track was turned on.

I am aware of different kind of gates with other gear. And they are many types. The fact that the trigger output of the NerdSEQ can only be 0 or 5 Volt doesn't really help here..some even need negative voltages for Gate on and positive for gate off (or vice versa).

I could (and that was planned from the begin) include a inverted gate. But most probably your voltages are still not right.
But no need to worry...since these are modular synthesizers...invert it, change the offset, amplify...build the signals you need ;-)
I will not include the inverted gate in this release, maybe in the next one. But that would only save you the inverter in many cases.
Also, the voltages are right for the other octave scalings, but the only way to test for me was with a multimeter...all up to you and no guarantees that it will work fine.

Of course, i can try inverter for MS20 gates indeed.
I have had test run of Easel with Nerdseq's new Buchla scaling. So far I could tell - CV voltages are right. At least much better than if I run those through CVGT1 converter. Also gate do the job. Not worse than with CVGT1.

Dam you're right !   I had the transpose "Avoid" ON.  What a numpty ....hangs head in shame.

It's a great update for both performance and composition. Well done Thomas. [Image: thumbsup.png]
