Adjust the resolution of a pattern
#1
Is there a way to increase or decrease the resolution of a pattern? So if the default is 1/16, could I decrease it to 1/8 for say, a drone with very long notes? Or increase to 1/32 for a very rapid sequence of notes?

I've played around with the Groove column for this, but its not quite clear what amount of adjustment equals 1/8 or 1/32... and if there is a more direct way of doing this, I'd love to see it. Maybe a better way to define this is adjusting the tempo of a pattern only, and not the tempo/BPM of the whole song?

Thanks! I'm almost done with my first full song using the NerdSeq and I am loving it so far.

You can change the clock per track. And you could use different groove settings (for example half the value doubles the speed).
The clock settings would mostly be the easiest one and can be just set up or being changed from a sequence.
PLEASE use the search function if something have been asked or discussed before.

we can achieve resolution, but then pattern becomes very short. perhaps too short.

I'll try out that FX track clock speed setting! Thank you both.
