NerdSeq + Midi/Pad Power Draw?
#1
Hey!

So I have a Doepher  Mini 100 Power Supply Version 3, it should be enough I think to power the NerdSeq.

Xor or anyone else, do you know the exact current draw, I did a search but cant seem to find that info.

Oddly enough, all four entries for the NerdSEQ in Modular Grid show different power requirements.

The manual, though, says approx. 150 mA +12V and approx. 32 mA -12V, with no 5V usage.

Cool. According to the Doepfer website, there exist V1.0, V1.1 and V2.

They also write:
  • Version 2: +12V/200mA, -12V/200mA, +5V/50mA, , requires a 12-15VAC adapter (i.e. 12-15V AC not DC), min. 500mA
So for the NerdSEQ alone you should be fine. Add a CV16 Expander and you will exceed 200mA on the +12V rail. Trigger16 adds 30mA. Not sure the 2HP and/or Sega controller interface add power requirement.

It's generally not a good idea to go to the limit of your PSU.

Kind regards,
Michael
