Sega Controller confirmed working
#1
Couldn't find a thread with a list of tested and confirmed Sega controllers with the NerdSeq IO-EXPANDER so thought I would post this.

Retro-Bit official Sega Megadrive controller tested and fully working, no glitches or bugs.

Tried out a mapping that makes sense to me, loving it so far. Setup was very easy and intuitive. Now programming and performing is even easier Big Grin

cheers!

I hope it will survive.

Just in short, I do NOT recommend the Retro-Bit ones. Though they claim to be official, it is probably only that they bought the Sega name license. Hardware is completely different and it tends to fail / die at some point and not only with the NerdSEQ but also with the Game consoles. (As you can see in the Amazon reviews)

So we need official Sega, gamepads... meaning secondhand grubby dirt traps?

Not only, I also bought very cheap ones from Aliexpress and they work perfect. And the 8BitDo ones are reported to work well either.
