808 Sample Pack
#1
I created an 808 sample pack that actually sounds pretty good.

All samples are 8bit raw headerless unsigned.

How are these working for everyone? If they're up to snuff i'll make some more packs.

I may re-release this one because I cut off some of the decay on the kick, cymbal and snare but the samples are good enough to where I don't think I needed to.

I think they are good. Indeed the longer decay times leave a noisy sound, so shorten them might make sense.

Hi,  These are sounding good.. my effort to convert 808 sample down to 32kHz 8bit have awful zipper artifacts imposed on them, these are punchy clean (obviouly with 8bit noise), very cool.

What tools you using to lower the bitrate? SoX or somthing similar?

My base samples are Goldbaby Tape808, which have a huge variety of saturatedd sounds...

You KD wav has nice max volume clipping before it fades...

Think i need to work abit harder at converting mine.... using Wavosaur.exe but i think ii try (after learning)SoX to see if i can get a cleaner finish.

Thanks for putting these up.. when will the 909 and 606 samples be avavilable Wink
