Arbitrary voltage out CV2 output when FX is 000
#1
Track1: Pattern 0B
Pattern B: FX1 is CV2 000

However, on track 2 it's seems to be sending a voltage to the CV2 output regardless that the value is 000. It seems to choose an arbitrary value every time is passes the (track 1) row with CV2 000.

I would expect it to send 0 CV out the assigned output (CV2).

I get the same result trying CV3, CV4, etc.

I've attached the project file to help illustrate.

Please advise and Thank You.

I can test the project tomorrow.
But do you have FX random ranges turned on by any chance? That would explain the effect.

I did not turn on FX random ranges. I didn't even know there was such a thing. How do I check if this is on?

Edit:

Did you mean RDMN?

I did not have RDMN on, and it appeared to generate an arbitrary voltage not have RDMN.

However, when I put FX RDMN 000 on FX2, then the CV output worked as expected.

I don't think I should have to call CV2 000 AND use another FX lane to call RDMN 000 to prevent it from sending a voltage.

This may be a bug.

In the track setup screen for track 1 in your case

This or maybe overruled by the automators?

No, it's turned off. See my edit above.

Also, not automators being used.

Ok. It should do what you expect. I’m going to check your project tomorrow.

Well, then it looks like you had FX random turned on. Because the RDMN 000 setting does turn the Random FX off.

Did you check in the setup screen if RANDOM FX was turned off for all 4 FX?

It was never on (I barely use FX) and I have no RNDM on any other FX lanes.

If random was on, and was deleted... sure would be nice to have it reset to 000 on deletion.

Did you check in the track setup screen if RANDOM FX was turned off for all 4 FX? You don't need the FX column to activate this.

Values don't reset if they are deleted on a FX somewhere.
