NSA = Nerd Sound Adapter
This is another term to denote the various expander (Trigger16, CV16 and Midi as of this writing).

I doubt you can use the sample outputs for anything but sound - be it wave files or synthesized sound. FM or whatever Oscillator you may have selected on your sample track.

The really big thing about this easter egg is that - if you do not use the builtin FM or sample play - you have two more tracks with 16 triggers/up to 6 note CV/up to 4 midi notes (depending on the NSA you allocate to that track) each. And that does not yet include what you can do via the FX columns.

I'm in full agreement with mvdirty:
That is a big easter egg Big Grin

Unfortunately that creates a new problem:
Should I get me a third CV16 or should I wait for the video adapter and check out if I can make use of that?
(admittedly being in the position to have this problem is really quite comfortable Big Grin  )

Kind regards,
Michael

Keep in mind that the video expander also uses NSA channel 4...so back to limitations ;-)

And NSA stands for National Security Agency   Big Grin

That limitation is my problem  Wink

If I could easily have 5 NSA I would obviously get a 3rd CV16 - of course I also have a Trigger16.

I think the only solution is a 2nd NerdSEQ ?

That is probably correct...but before I think I should go back to my modular and make some music with the awesome tools I already have Smile

Especially the various probability settings together with add/sub/mult/div allow for lots of interesting evolving patterns. Also Markov Chains of patterns are easily implemented. Lots to play with to actually make music (instead of always looking for the next even hotter equipment Wink )

Kind regards,
Michael

Ok, that's flamewar material...

<protective gear on>
Why buy a Mac, when you are looking for compatibility?
I definitely would want a video expander that allows to connect Monitors that have not been manufactured by or for Apple...i.e. HDMI, DVI or VGA or something.

Apart from that I'd expect "thunderbolt over usb-c" to be more expensive.

Thank you for this update! I've been looking forward to the added random midi velocity from random ranges. So that's the first thing I'm trying but I'm missing a step in the setup. I've set a range in the range screen, enabled Random FX1 on Track Setup screen, and am looking on the FX1 column for some kind of midi velocity effect. Where to look?

In the manual ;-)
Or in the velocity column.
