Release Candidate Firmware V1.25 RC3
#1
The first batch of More Video-IO Expanders have been shipped now and these need a new firmware to work.
Today I am happy to already put the release candidate online with working functions for the video expander. The main functions has actually already been tested by some video-betatesters.

For those without the video expander and without the need of it, some other functions have been added aswell (as usual).

- added video mode setting in setup screen (OK to enter video settings)
- added endless repetitions of patterns when BRK repetition value is 255/0xff
- added velocity -> MOD output for midi clone to modular
- fixed missing/wrong probability from automators if sample tracks are set to something else
- fixed wave file loading for some wavefiles
- added octave change in wavefile preview
- added launch mode function. beside the regular launch possibilities there is now an additional synchronizing to queuepoints/zero cross launchmode (Setup -> Pattern Launch Type)
- fixed midi issue for velocity/mod recording on other tracks than 1
- changed TRIGGER_ALL_OFF function to Extra Trigger FX which involves Trigger all Off and swap trigger commands from the FX
- implemented firmware update / file transfer for the video expander

* Note for the video expander! It is not getting detected automatically but you turn it on and off manually in the Setup screen.
Setup -> Video Expander -> Off / USB only / Clone.

Please check this thread for some of the video expander information:

As usual, this is a release candidate. Not intended for productive use as i can't guarantee any unexpected side effects. Saved projects will guaranteed to work for the release version but are not backwards compatible to 1.24 or earlier. So be aware to backup your projects first!!!

And you can always go back to the stable versions in case of any issues.

UPDATE RC2:
- fixed the launch issue which would lead to unpredicted behaviour (like setting BPM to 1 or changing the track clock)

UPDATE RC3:
- fixed another launch issue which would lead to unpredicted behaviour (like setting BPM to 1 or changing the track clock) as well as not launching selected parts
- updated SETW command for samples so it would overrule samples or waveforms selected from the sample/wave column is used from the pattern FX
- fixed some minor drawing glitches

Download the release candidate below, follow the firmware update rules and if you get stuck there and it doesn't work, read the many threads about it and it will be fine!! Updating always works!

Enjoy!

I'm having a very odd issue with BPM dropping to 1 on certain row changes. Triple checking my patterns and none of them have the BPM FX. Anyone else? Project was originally done in 1.24. By the way, the video expander is GREAT!

Can you send me the project please?
And do you use sync or normal launch mode?

Thanks Thomas. I also noticed that track 02 opened in 1.25rc1 at a /7 clock, where it had not been saved this way.

I can reproduce the odd BPM 1 jump, so diving deep into that. I can't see it in this project loading with a /7 clock. Was it with this project?

Yes, this project. Edit: it’s not opening up as /7 but randomly switching. Have not been able to reliably reporoduce.

OK thanks, I think it is related to the problem then. It's actually quite difficult to find the issue...it happens not reliably always (and often not)...
But It will be fine. Sorry for the trouble and stay tuned.

Have it going on my end and have had zero issues so far. Thanks for all the continued improvements!  Using a qwerty keyboard with the Nerdseq is the best experience!
