Increase auto gate timeout maximum value
#1
Hi,

I find (and the scope shows) not too much different between the default and max auto gate timeout values.  Can this be increased past 64?  Is the unit mS?  It doesn't leave very much time for envelope release currently, and I usually use auto gate for chords when the gate is on for several steps. Could it be changed to be tempo dependent?

Thanks.

I got to check tomorrow. But just for the records, this is being used to let the gate be set slightly after the CV. This is because some other modules are too slow with sampling the CV vs. gates. With this setting you can be sure that the sampling is running correctly while still being as close as possible without any recognizable latency. To relate it to the tempo would be wrong in this case (just imagine, with slow sequences you really could hear the delay).

I got to check the exact time relation tomorrow.

Oh I checked the wrong function.

The Auto-Gate timeout is not really intended to allow special longer envelope release. This mainly as you would 'hear' the delay. It's not the upper described function.

What I would suggest is to add a Ratch half a note one step before the new note. In that case it would be also time related and will be off half a note before the new one.

I will give it a shot to see how it sounds.  Thanks!
