I have been using the RC2 for a while now and didn't run into any issues with it. (even played a live show with it).

In case you have missed it: The only problem I have found is a crash when triggering sample block loading from a table (see bug report forum).

I did indeed miss that. I will check it out.

Thought I'd try out the new 1.26 straight away, looked too tempting to wait for - and I see here that people already found it very stable.

Anyhow, the added Playback Order which can be used to play in another order within a pattern is very nice indeed. However, I have a couple of practical questions:

  1. Can the playback order be triggered to be different in each 'section', or do you have to manually change it via the Nerd Menu each time you want a different pattern?
  2. The Pingpong only plays when one section loops - meaning it doesn't link 2 (or more) sections to do a larger 'pingpong'. Is that normal, or can that be changed (somehow)?
  3. Any of these playback orders works taking into account all steps, ignoring the BRK command (i.e. default 34 steps). I know it's easily possible to change the amount of steps via the Nerd menu, but isn't there a way of having it take into account the BRK point? However, I imagine you planned it that way, for more practical reasons?
  4. Any Idea when you're going to release this firmware officially and update the manual - which is always useful for so many changes Wink.
Anyhow, the updates that I've seen so far are very impressive - and very practical, thanks.

Already a bit late as the firmware for the next release is ready already.

1. check the changelog for the FX command in the first post for it. You can change the playback order from within the sequence and so build your own orders beyond patterns.
2. Yes the pingpong is only within a pattern. Else build your own orders or longer pingpongs as stated in 1.
3. BRK is not the good way for shorter patterns these days as it indeed doesn't define the length of a pattern. Just use patternlength and the orders will know how to handle it well.
4. Very soon... I was too busy with production and preparing to move the company (and our home) to a new place which will happen in a few weeks. I updated the manual already but got to correct the artwork and make new pictures and then I will release it. The firmware differs only very little from the RC6.

I will upload the new manual to github first in the next days, so it'll be available before the firmware release.

Sounds good, although maybe you can explain what the "changelog for the FX command in the first post for it" is .. changelog?

Thanks in advance.
