Pattern BRK with CV input
#1
I've been trying all sorts of workarounds for this, though it's always cumbersome and doesn't work %100.

So the intention is to be able to BRK a pattern - progress to the following one, through the CV inputs..
So say when CV input 1 receives a high gate, then pattern 001 will BRK and continue to play pattern 002 for example.

I know that you can advance the tables with CV input, however, tables are not only limited in functions, fx etc', but it's just not as convenient and the workflow also doesn't suit full-fledged compositions...

As a sort of workaround to achieve my idea, I have BRK on fx column 1, and 'fx1 probability' on fx column 2, then in the automaton section, I have CV Input modifying 'fx2 overrule' for the appropriate channel...so when it receives a high gate it increases the probability of fx1 that is BRK.. the issue with this is that even when set to to the lowest probability on the given pattern, there's still a small chance of the pattern to BRK, that's already enough to ruin the idea here as it's really unpredictable and the behaviour can't be controlled in the way one would hope for..

What can a 'CV input BRK' function can achieve:
Well, it's perfect for generative music, and can really open up many avenues to expand on generative compositions..not just strictly timed compositions that nerdseq is well known for.
It'll make nerdseq have the best of both worlds, a rigid clocked sequencer that each step can be highly detailed, but also the fluidity of patterns, steps and events essentially - so these can happen in sync with other events in the modular system.

Cheers!
