[NO BUG] Inconsistent FX response
#1
Hi. New (and so far very happy) user here.

A question though:

I've noticed a lot of inconsistency with FX behaviour in Patterns. For example if I add a number of "Tempo (BPM)" FX or "Select Track Clock" FX messages (spaced a number of entries apart (say two or three) then only respond occasionally. They usually don't respond live, and then after a while they seem to kick into life. I suspect there is some setting that I have missed but I did notice an earlier post that suggested inconsistent FX response also and am now wondering has this been resolved.

No FX probability being used here. New track from scratch and currently just learning and testing.

(EDIT): I note that this only happens with MULTIPLE Select Track Clock messages in a given pattern. Can I not have more than one perhaps?

(V01.25A)

Happy to make video if necessary.

Did you use the normal track clock or the direct one?
The normal one kicks in after the pattern is ready, the other one directly.
My first guess here… I’m not aware of any bugs here at the moment.
Please check that and else pets dive in and see if I can reproduce it.
PLEASE use the search function if something have been asked or discussed before.

Re normal track versus direct one... not sure. I am using FX (so not the track clock from the Nerd Pattern Menu)

Okay so the manual states for SCLK (p.39/40):

"The new clock setting will take effect with a new playing pattern. Optional the 2nd digit can be used as a ‘force’ clock command, so the new clock setting will be active immediately."

So do I need to enter an optional 2nd digit?  Not sure I see how that works. After 011 is unused.
In a pattern only the last SCLK entry is taking effect.

Thanks Thomas.

Do 1xx and it’ll be the direct mode so the new clock setting is active directly.
