[NO BUG] FX Automator Speed control
#1
If I set FX in pattern aslx to 201 I expect speed of 001 however, I get speed 010 which 16. Too speedy.

Assumes Automator clock is set to tick

Not sure if this is intended, a bug or me

You can choose the automator clock...
Have a look at p.78 in the manual... Automator functions->LFO->Clock sources.

The ASLx values are scaled... (p.30), in Automator you can set speeds 000-FFF (0-4095) if you scale this to 00-FF (0-255) it's divided by 16.

Thank you recliq still not sure what I need to do to set LFO speed to 1 via ASLx if the Automator clock is set to TICK  ? - I'll read up and see if I can work through my numerical fog.

Whilst I'm here any idea what the RESET ASLx function does - I expected some change but I can't see any evidence of any RESET to zero or default voltage.

You can‘t get a speed of 1 unfortunately because it is scaled. The original speed got 4095 values and with the ASL commands you can only assign 255 values. Too bad the FX payload got not more digits to allow 4095 values Undecided

Reset does reset the LFO waveform to the startpoint (phasepoint) if the standard clock (and some other clocks if I remember well) is being used. It doesn’t make sense with tick or some other clocks.
PLEASE use the search function if something have been asked or discussed before.
Every (unnessesary) forum support means less time to develop! But of course, i am here to help!  Smile

Thank you Thomas - that clears up some of the fog.
