Add "Start immediately" option to STSP
#1
Just like the CBPB 0xx/1xx command can either be active with upon the next queue point or immediately I would like to add a similar option to the STSP command. This would be a very convenient way to resync tracks that have been playing at different tempos/clock divisions. For a moment I had thought CBPB 8xx would do the job, but that one doesn't start on the first step.
So basically I want the STSP 0xx changed into STSP 00xx and the new STSP 10xx for an instant jump (and of course the 1txx with t = 1..8 for the track number)

Kind regards,
Michael

I see at least 2 issues with that and of course a totally valid feature request as well.

1st: If there would be a immediate start, then it might not be in sync with any other external gear which is synchronized on the incoming or external clock. It would be off from it.
2nd: there is no 4th digit with Trigger16 or Modular tracks currently and probably difficult to add on at least the modular track since there is no space at all for an additional digit = refactoring/redesign of the screen.

At least one thing to consider in the current situation:
- Set the 'Patter Launch Type' to sync. Then patterns will always start in sync with the master clock, doesn't matter "where they are".

Anyways, that doesn't mean that this command should not be implemented. I think it can be treated the same as an external reset and so will reset everything including the mainclock to the begin.
PLEASE use the search function if something have been asked or discussed before.
Every (unnessesary) forum support means less time to develop! But of course, i am here to help!  Smile

Re the missing 4th digit on Triogger16 and Modular...I'm currently playing around with Midi and CV16 and indeed have not looked at the other Smile
I have not considered the effect on external gear either. I'd expect a reset as suggested should be fine.

Setting 'Pattern Launch Type" to sync has the described effect and to some extend solves my problem (the various tracks, each running at it's own speed/clock division) indeed stay in sync. Only problem remaining is the switch takes longer than I want it to. But that's admittedly a lesser one.

BTW: I'm having quite some fun creating projects partly on the NerdSEQ and partly by editing the bulk pattern export in a text editor. The later greatly simplifies some parts of my workflow.
