Heya, coming at you with a couple of ideas I've thought about for a long time. Splitting into parts for readability and forum restrictions on attachments.
MARK Shortcut - [SEQ]
I suggest a shortcut for marking where we press the SEQUENCER button (*same as MARK button) to mark the entire ROW, COLUMN or the entire viewable PATTERN.
When we press a 4th time we return to our original MARK, unless we changed the marking in any way (it is then like starting over, marking that entire ROW, COL, PATTERN, etc).
Here are some images to illustrate it (please excuse the sometimes blurry image):
This shows us marking from just one cell. Again, pressing SEQ once more would return to the original cell unless the marking was changed. Any change resets this functionality.
This shows marking from a bigger block. Pressing once extends to the ROWS, again extends the COLUMNS, again marks the entire viewable screen, and once more would return to original mark.
Once again, showing what it'd look like on a different column. Extending ROW, then COLUMN, then viewable pattern screen, and then back.
If we were to alter the selection after extending to, for example, the column, we would then once again be extending to the ROW if we pressed again.
Justification:
It'd be a great way of marking - the only downside is you won't go to the sequencer screen, but already pressing PATCH or TABLE doesn't move you anywhere when you're marking.
I think it makes sense in a button combo way, as you press SHIFT + SEQ(MARK) then press again without the shift to alter the marking.
