Output 8 as a trigger, is it possible?
#1
I have a FM synth on track 7. I would like to send its output to a LPG module. Is there a way to send a trigger to the LPG every single time a note from the FM synth of track 7 is played? Maybe with track 8 output? How?

Some people used samples as a short trigger. It can’t do gates though as the outputs are ac coupled.
If you got one operator left on track 8 then you could try with a trigger sample.

Thanks!

Any sample will work? Maybe a kick drum, for example?

No I guess not. People used a ‘trigger’ wave. I think you can find it somewhere in this forum as I remember this has been discussed here before.

As trigger wave, I use a fully negative single-cycle saw. Negative, because for some reason, negative waves come out as positive triggers. And a saw instead of a square, because the DC-blocking circuitry would case a phantom spike at the end of the square too. My sample is 222 samples long. Attached!
