Recording with USB keyboard
#1
Hello!

I’m new to the device, and I have a rather specific question that I’m hoping someone can help me with:

Can I use the USB keyboard’s keys (through the video expander) as the source of notes and gates for recording mode? I think the keyboard data is passed over the MIDI expander cable to the Nerdseq, so I was sorta hoping configuring recording for MIDI input would do it, but so far I haven't found a configuration that works.

Thanks for your help!

It doesn't work like the midi input actually. For now you can play live or step input notes (like it will fill in the note on the spot where you are in the pattern screen).

So currently no way to have the keyboard input follow the play head during recording?

Not right now. But it is on the list to be added for the upcoming release.
