3/4 beat?
#1
Is it possible to do 3/4 or other odd beat numbers with the nerdseq?
It seems predestined to do 2/4 beats and if I read the manual correctly, one can only achieve a 3/4 for example by changing the pattern lenghts accordingly (e.g. from 16 steps to 12 steps or its equivalents). If that is the case it would be great if the colouring of the rows could be adapted so that it would mirror the beats in the pattern, for example in a 3/4 beat, one yellow row would be followed by two green rows for better orientation. But maybe I have missed something that is already implemented.
Thank you for replying.

You can create the most odd beats with it because you can change each step in length per track with the groove column which can bring you to very odd beats if you like to. Together with that you can also play with the trigger functionality eg. delayed triggers which brings you some microtimings as well.

I didn't consider to arrange the row colouring for it, as it is not like you make a general setting for 3/4 beats. You program everything in the pattern and choose the timings per step here or add at some point a break to archieve shorter/odd patterns. Here is is nearly impossible to determine the kind of beat for it.

By the way, all tracks can run independent from each other which can bring you crazy polyrhythmnic stuff.
PLEASE use the search function if something have been asked or discussed before.
