MIDI destination for I2C/Multi track?
#1
With I2C/Multi track I can sequence 6 lanes of Disting EX Poly FM (but only 1 voice) over I2C connection.

With MIDI track I can sequence 4 lanes of Disting EX Poly FM (up to 4 voices) over MIDI connection.

Though why can’t I set the 6 destinations for the I2C/Multi track to MIDI so that I can sequence 6 lanes of Disting EX Poly FM (with up to 4 voices) over MIDI connection… theoretically providing 2 duophonic + 2 monophonic voices).

Or can I somehow and I’m just missing it?

It is not implemented.

Only for the drummatrix it is available.

Ah, understood. Thank you Thomas! I will add this to the feature request page if not already there. Thank you for the amazing work you do. I feel you have created another paradigm entirely in the Eurorack world, or maybe I’m just new to trackers still and this stuff is just so badass.

Or/and you add a feature request for the disting allowing to select the other voices (like if you select port 7 it would start with the 2nd voice) ;-)
Actually I remember that they were 3 ways of playing I2C notes on the distingEX and i choosed this one because it was the only one that worked for
me. Maybe the others also had voice selection. Look it up in the manual.

And I think you can still use both I2C and Midi from different tracks.

The Disting EX manual states:

When controlling the algorithm via I2C, only timbre 1 can be accessed.

… which is why I assumed it had to be done over MIDI. Would be great to be able to do it over I2C also though. Will reach out to Os.

Wow, I think this was fixed in Disting EX today with v1.24 release! Can’t wait to try this out!
