TR1..TR16 have no effect when the corresponding lane has an event at the same time
#1
When there is a Trigger 40 e.g. in Row 08 on lane 3 and in either of FX1..3 of Row 08 there is a TR3 0C3 then only a single hit/trigger is audible. If however I remove the trigger event from lane 3 I hear a ratchet like trigger.

If that is intended behaviour I think this should be changed. The intended use case is that I want the occasional ratchet but there always should be a beat.

This behaviour can be achieved by putting a ratchet in lane 3 and e.g. a PR34 <some_pcnt> in FX1 and TR3 040 in FX3. The drawback is this also influences lane 4.

If the current behaviour can't be easily adjusted w/o breaking other stuff I suggest some clarification/explanation/examples in the documentation as to how this works.

Not sure I made myself clear. I'm happy to explain further if required. This post is the result of a recent exchange in the NSA part of this forum.

Kind regards,
Michael

Actually this is the intended behavior because of the execution order. The FX are being executed first (so the effects could affect everything else that would happen in the same row).
So the retrigger starts but will be replaced immediately by the Column trigger.
I think it shows the order of execution already in the manual, but there is no description of any possible effects of that. Not sure if there should be as it can have effect on so many things again and your situation is one of them.

I get the problem of 2 coupled probability columns and I am not happy with that either. I am running short on probability sources per track. (Probably still more probability than any other sequencer). But when I implemented the probability stuff in the begin they were only the Modular and audio tracks and no cv/trigger expanders and not even any thought of it. For now it is like this and I got a more flexible probability functionality in my head but that would add also some more complexity which I don’t think is a good idea. Low prio as well.

Sad things are as they are...

[I agree, the possibilities and options offered by the NerdSEQ are still unparalleled in Eurorack - whenever the competition closes a gap there is another leap in functionality Smile ]
