Display info in pattern view
#1
It's about displaying active values that deviate from the default in pattern view.

Maybe thats just an issue for tracker newbies like me, but occationally i end up with an active fx or mod value where i deleted the initiating event and forgot to set it back to default. Stupid me of course but a list of all values deviating from default at trigger position would also help a lot with understanding the concepts. In the pattern view there'd be some free space at the moment in the info box.

Yes i am also aware of that. I also forget to turn probability off sometimes for example.
But they are too many FX settings to add it also to the pattern screen. But i already have a idea for it. I will add a kind of live-patch. So you can see and manipulate all current values of the Track directly.

You can already use the patches if you need defined values. FX is for direct access per step of one setting. Patches hold several settings at the same time.

I just realised that those values even stick after a new pattern started. ..i'm afraid i lack some basic knowledge about Tracker.
In that respect that live-patch idea sounds very helpful.
And thanks for the hint regarding patches

See the (most) values like knobs/potmeters on a usual analogue synthesizer. You change the knob and it stays until you change it again. It will not reset or anything.
Patches give you the power to set all or some knobs to a certain position at a given time. And the FX sets one knob to a position at a given time.
I don't think this is too tracker specific. I am sure nearly all DAW's work similar. Probably some functions reset after a pattern. So do also some functions here reset after a pattern ( eg. Basenote) and some just trigger special functionality (eg kill, break..)
