Release Candidate Firmware V1.18 (RC3 UPDATE)

Thanks. Sounds weird to me in the first place when thinking about and looking to the changings. But you never know. Thats what RC's are for  Big Grin  THX

So interestingly enough, I wasn't able to get a save file to reset to 1 BPM after I changed it back to the correct BPM and saved. I did still have all my untouched saves which all showed 1 BPM. Ok, so I thought maybe the RC2 update would reset all my BPMs back to 1. So I updated my NerdSeq again with RC2 and... it fixed ALL of my BPMs. Even the ones I didn't touch that had 1 BPM are now reset to their original BPMs. I will keep looking in case it resets again but, still a very weird anomaly.

Also, the song in question I made with 1.18RC1, some of them were 1.17 and they were all affected the same way. Clock setting is whatever the default is (I haven't changed it).

Are they all internal clock projects? ( Sorry, didn't read your edit...so i expect internal clock)

Yes.  Also, I just reboot NerdSeq and all my saves are 1 BPM again!

UPDATE: Rebooted again and the BPMs are normal again. Seems like a coin flip.

Super double update: It looks like it happens when I load a new save while the current project is playing!

I'm including the save and a video of it happening.  It actually happens before I'm able to get to load the final file:

I should have slowed down. at :27 you can see all the launches get screwy--they aren't even on the patterns!

Actually, I think I figured out what is happening:

When you have a live song playing and switch to a new save, it remembers the location of all the last patterns played. So it tries to play on patterns that are filled in one song but empty on the current, and it breaks the file somehow.

(Sorry for all the crazy updates, I do QA testing for a living so I get really worked up/excited about testing/troubleshooting!!)

Yes, i can see it happens already with the other song you load in the first place. And i can reproduce it now.

What i don't understand is, why does it keeps playing anyway. I remember that i added a stop playing if a new project is being loaded...without looking at the code right now. I assume it has been in there for longer and not only in V1.18.

Anyway, good to fix. Seemless loading/replacing a project was not supported anyway (yet).
Thanks for the help!

OK, i just updated to RC3

V1.18 RC3 Update:
- fixed bug that cause a reset if switching to DIN-SYNC clock input on an untouched empty project while the DINSYNC clock was running externally
- little drawing glitch on project screen fix
- Fix for the case when loading another project while one was playing which could cause a 1 BPM tempo. Sequencer stops now when loading another project.

File is attached in the first post.

Ho there.

Please check again for any issues or oddities for the new functions (and old ones) with this release as i plan to make a stable release very soon.
Hurry up, because there is already a new firmware in the making which supports the expanders then! Else all will delay and this V1.18 release has to come first.

Thanks!
