Can you explain it a bit more. Which files exactly? Samples?

oh sorry, yes, some filenames of samples are too long for displaying and those also don't load.

Bump  Cool
Samples longer than 12 characters still dont load into buffer.

Also a feature request.. support folders Smile

And there seem to be character restrictions. A list containing files with & () and maybe other didnt show fully.

Edit: or were some of those samples too large? None was larger than 2mb. Or eventually otherwise kaputt ..

I didn't check the sample stuff yet. I think i can get loading the longer filename samples. Also folders are on my 2do list already.
I can't guarantee antthing about the character restrictions. I will probably filter them out and maybe it's on the job to the user to provide good filenames already. The sequencer truncades longer filenames anyway because there isn't enough space for all letters on the screen.

Sample memory is only 200kb, so 2 MB is slightly too large ;-)

i'd be happy with folders and longer names, just forget the rest of my display of stupidity Smile
i may find out some day if its characters or size that broke the list and tell you then. anyway, both is easy to avoid.

browsing a long list of samples seems to have an impact on timing btw.

I just noticed this issue in 1.18C, but it took a bit to realize sample name length was causing the error. I don't mind the restriction so much, but it was confusing at first because we get an unspecified error when attempting to load such samples. A more descriptive error message would be helpful for new users, though I do imagine it would be just as easy to lift the character cap.

I allowed now to load a bit longer names in V1.19 which helps a bit.

Anyway, it's better to prepare your samples with good short names as they are much more readable in the sequencer when used.
