*NO BUG/GLITCH* Probability FX ghost in new pattern
#1
I was playing with 4 tracks just now. A single row of patterns. Track 1 and 2 both had probability FX for trigger and CV. Track 3 did not.

The problem appeared on track 4 which I think at some stage I had playing a pattern in use by either track 1 or 2 but now had deleted that and started a new pattern with a note on every step (16 steps). I was getting random trigger and CV as if I had FX set. Not all notes are playing. I can see the random firing on the screen so it's not anything further down in the physical patch.

I tried further brand new patterns on track 4 and got the same after adding some steps. I reloaded the project and still got it. I assume I saved it after this started happening.

No tables or patches in use. I just installed the new v1.18 C tonight before starting to play.

I can't see this behaviour being reported before. Let me know if I might have set something or missed something I haven't looked at. I'm very new to Nerdseq. Thanks.

I am sure it's no bug.

As you played the pattern that you used also on track 1, it passed the probability FX on track 4. At this point you played this pattern you set the probabilty settings also on track 4.
It doesn't matter if you delete a pattern. Functions you turned on (which were set on a track then) won't reset of course. See many settings as knobs that a turned to one position. They stay as they are or you either reset them in a sequence or by using the reset track fx functions (in the nerd menu) or use the auto reset on stop function (but then you got to take care that the fx settings are set properly in all your patterns you start from) or change them back in the current settings screen.

So sounds all clear to me and no problem at all, i think.
PLEASE use the search function if something have been asked or discussed before.

Thanks for explaining this. Now makes sense and something I need to remember - they're track settings turned on in a pattern. Must be turned off again if not needed. Got it!
