Would be good if you could have clock multiply and division per pattern. So pattern 00 is at clock rate. Pattern 01 is 2 times faster than clock and pattern 3 is 2 times slower etc...

2 times faster or slower can already be archieved by using groove 3 (2 times faster) or groove C ( 2 times slower) on all steps.
But i will add it to my list..sounds good...lower priority

I'd like very much to have a clock multiply AND a clock divide per pattern. I.e. the ability to do both on a track.
Why? Polyrhythms. For instance, by multiplying the clock by 5 and then dividing it by 4 (and setting the pattern length to 20 16th note steps), you can get a 5/4 sequence of the same duration as 4/4. Or another example, 7/8 that runs at the same duration (multiply by 7, divide by 8, set pattern length to 14 16th note steps). And so on. I've done this on modular systems and it works very well for true polyrhythmic grooves. The divisor only needs to be powers of 2 - 2, 4, 8, 16, 32. Multiplier would need to be 2-16 or 2-32. Is this possible? |
