*NO ISSUE* Patch FX Slot edit strange behaviour?
#1
I'm playing with the NerSEQ and some simple settings to get my head around it.
I made 1 Patch, switched to Patch edit mode and entered some notes.

Next I went over to the FX slots with the cursor. I select FX "glide modulate steps" for example and enter a value by using the shift+ cursor buttons.
Now when I go back to the "FX type" and press "shift+right" to go to the next "FX Type" the "FX value" is reset to "000". But when I press "shift+left" the "FX value" stays at the value selected before.

Example: select FX "glide CV"...enter value "40" (shift+up)...go with the cursor to "FX type (glide CV) and press "shift+right" to "Glide CV Steps":
..the value will be reset to "000" BUT on the bottom it still says "Glide CV".

select FX "glide CV"...enter value "040" (shift+up)...go with the cursor to "FX type (glide CV) and press "shift+left" to "Pitch":

..the value will still be at "040" AND on the bottom it still says "Glide CV"!

I don't know what of the options is the intended one but there seem to be some inconsistencies. It also seems that the "Label" of the FX type doesn't get updated right away.

ADDITION:
Probability CV does NOT reset even when set back to "000"! There seems to be no way to remove the probability setting even after deleting the "FX" slot it doesn't change.

Ho,

i heared already about the labels in the status bar. The 4 letter names in the FX columns are however ok. You can trust those, i will check for the statusbar.
There are some things with the FX values. First, if you change to another FX types, then it is intended to be set to zero again because it is a totally different setting.
Also, if you enter the same type in another row, then the last values will be taken if you use shift+right. And i think 000 if you use shift+left.

Can you send me the project file, so i can check if and why the probability setting is 'probably' not changing. I am not aware about a problem with it. Did you try the highest value (which is also off then = 100%. Zero should set it also to 100%).
If you delete the FX slot it doesn't change of course. See it like you set a knob to some position. You would have to need to set the knob back yourself if wanted.

As for the FX Values...shift+right resets the value to "000" while shift+left doesn't. It all happens in the same FX slot (FX 1).
shift+left only resets to zero when you go all the way back to "pitch" and press shift+left again. Maybe that helps.

As for probability, I'll have to try again tomorrow. I switched of the power supply without saving the pattern.

I will check both issues. Also for a future update i will show the recent values of the effects so one can be sure that function X is turned on/off.

Great! There is still a lot to learn and I don't always have much time. I'm not quite sure about some functions (tables etc) but I'll try to contribute as good as I can!

I fixed the change fx type behaviour as well as the fx text issue. ( V1.07 )

For a test of the probabilty issue i added some debugrules, so you can see the current probability settings of the recent pattern. (Turn on debug in setup screen).
Let me know if you get to some oddity.
