MIDI "Clip Launcher"
#11
In case you haven't seen it yet. Brandon Logic playing with the Launpad integration (beta)on the NerdSEQ. Using the Launchpad Pro programming some triggers on the fly, switching to record mode and recording from Midi and muting/unmuting some tracks.

Yeah, that is absolutely incredible. My launchpad pro is ready to go once this firmware becomes available. How does this connect to the NerdSeq? I am assuming the MIDI expander? Smile

The PRO can simply be connected with the Midi Expander. For the other Launchpad Models ( Mini and MK2) you will need a USB-Midi expander that i'm going to make. But the plans are that the USB-Midi expander get some more other nice features.

This could be huge.
Actually, I'm less and less interested in my eurorack systems, and, with the MIDI capabilities, the NerdSeq could be just a killer sequencer for MIDI gear, especially with LP integration.
Still very interested in what happen on the pattern triggering options (https://xor-electronics.com/forum/showth...hp?tid=259).

Is this something then that won’t come out until said usb expander is ready for release?

No, i will release this in the firmware as soon as i think it is ready (enough). For now some essential stuff using for expample the sample channels is missing.
Another thing i will let you know directly is that i will keep the different launchpad models (and maybe some other controllers at some point) equal. So most probably i won't give the extra buttons on the Launchpad Pro any functionality.

That's amazing! Is there a chance to implement the same functionality with Ableton Push ?

So, for the USB version of launchpad (launchpad mini for example), a kenton USB host adapter could do the job?
