More CV Expander?

Just throwing out an idea here:
How about adding some sort of "More CV mapping table"? It could have 16 slots (0..F) and you could set up your ports there: NSA port, output port number etc. In the FX you would only need to address the slot in the mapping table using one digit, which could be part of the command, for example MCV0..MCVF. All remaining three digits could be used as usual for CV output values.

The big question is whats the benefit then?
Just assuming 4 FX are used to change 4 CV values on the More CV expander (They are more then just the more CV expander, so that would also make it much more complex). Then you could have the CV/Gate and Mod from the regular Modular track and 4 Cv's from the expander.
No other function possible.

On the other hand, if you make it a CV16 track, you still got the CV/Gate/Mod functions available, either directly from the columns or from the FX. This would give you more than what would be possible from a modular track.

The only real benefit I see would be if you want to use triggers from the trigger expander and some Cv's from the CV expander combined in one track. That always with the cost of FX functions which makes me think if a good setup using partly local triggers with a CV16 or similated gates if not more is needed would be much easier and better to use.
