Hi there fellow nerds.

I've dusted off my barely used launchpad mini Mk2. but when connected and configured both the nerdseq and the LP just glitch out erratically. I've read the manual and forums but i'm a bit puzzled and need some help.  Midi Channel 1 set to Launch pad mini. nothing on midi channels 2-4. Midi routed to and fro via an iconnect MIO4. Nerdseq firmware 1.27C.

Are others using the same firmware successfully with their launch pad mini mk2?

The LP mini works as expected when connected to computer.

Any suggestions?

The last time I checked it it was working well here. The difference here is that I used the Retrokits rk005, maybe it is a setting in your midi controller?

To my knowledge there aren't really any settings/modes on the LP mini mk2 other than device ID (set to 1) and low/full power which doesn't effect the issue.

I've gone through every page of the iConfig to make sure there are no unwanted midi routings/feedback.

I checked today again with the launchpad mini and it works well. I can see in your video a different version and it seems like a very old one, too. Maybe these got a different button layout?

hi anyone know if you can use the LP mini mk3 with a usb hub/switch?
if so what hub swithch do i need.
if someone made it work please post what you need and how to,
maybe a list of working devices will appear if people made it work with different devices.
i tried 3 different usb hubs with no luck,
  i tried power hub from hdmi expander, then LP to the hub, and an usb to midi thing from hub to more i/o midi ports.
 would i need a usb switch or splitter not a hub?
should i choose LP pro or mini in NS setup?
should i give up and wait for expander or is there any tips,

Hi,

I have a question on LP & CV16.

I want to input triads via LP . Currently I am only able to put a note in via Lp at the position of the cursor. 
So 2 problems, can't input on the fly and not the triads directly.
Ideally I'd like to input with LP chord mode. 

Would be great if someone has a solution to that.

(i am just a little bit unsettled by the comma in the manual and not sure if it means LP Mini Mk2 + LP Mini Mk3 or LP Mini + LP Mk2 + LP Mk3. But to be fair i have absolutely no idea if there is something like a LP MK2 and MK3 that is not LP X or LP Pro. Novation should really work on their product names. Did they ever waste a tiny thought on secind hand market buyers  )

As far as my testing, all launchpads do work and for sure the MK3 models (the newer mini is MK3 for example). I think they might be an issue with very old models which were not class compliant. But that is up for testing.

on LP pro I set up Faders and cc Buttons with a mapping in new 2.0 mapping screen.

So far so good. Faders, Toggle and Momentary CC buttons work all perfectly. What is not working at all are the Triggers via CC Button

On LP they are all on the same Midi Channel, I used CC 15 to 22. On Mapping Destination I used trig trig NSA 3 trigger 1 to 8, but no reaction on mapping screen nor on 16Triggers expander.

Is there anything I missed?

I suggest you use the 'learn' function so you are sure you use the correct CC. Not sure how you configured your LP, but in some cases the grid use notes and the side parts use CC or the other way around.

You don't use the launchpad mode but just use it's Midi functions, correct? Also do you use the programmer mode? I am not sure what all the other modes do.
If you can't figure it out, llet me know, send me your project and tell me how you set up everything. I got a regular LP Pro here.

My Launchpad (Mini MK3) shows the weirdest behaviour. I can only make it work if i set it to programmers mode by pro-mk3 host*, Mini-host does not work at all
When i switch to sequencer screen the launchpad shows me my patterns just as i see them on the NerdSEQ Screen. i can also mute/unmute and scroll up and down and also start patterns. But after i started the sequencer the playhead/clockposition is moving horizontally from left to right, i can not stop patterns or the sequencer, i can not open a pattern from sequencer screen
If i open a pattern a pattern the "classical" way, the launchpad follows and shows me the pattern screen, playhead is still running horizontally from left to right and i can set triggers (E1) in horizontal order so the buttons in the first row are from left to right the steps 0-7 in pattern screen from top to bottom.

Anyone else facing that problem with his/her Launchpad (Mini, mk3)?

This one need to be set up to MK3 (either with or without * that depends on your needs). Mini host is for the old 2 colour one and not suitable for the MK3 versions.

For the rest it doesn't sound like an issue but as it works. Left to right is correct. You use the buttons on the right combined with the grid to select patterns, start/stop, go to the pattern screen.
Pressing the buttons on the grid only will launch the pattern.

Check the launchpad part in the manual (for sure the preliminary manual for V2.0 since it covers also the difference of the different launchpad types) to see what it can do and how it works.
