The Sega Gamepad actually got it's own connection on the midi expander.
But QWERTY, QUERTZ, AZERTY or whatever is being used is something that is definitely one of the features for the USB port on it.
The USB port on the new Video Expander won't work with a usb SEGA Controller? I love my retro-bit I was hoping I could pick up the USB version and use it with the Video Expander.
I actually don't know. They are probably 100s of retro USB gamepads out there. I got some nintendo style ones and they work. But even of those they are surely tens of different types out there. I also got competition pro USB joysticks and they don't work well.
Not every USB gamepad is the same and some use special drivers to work well with computers. These are mostly more complicated and incompatible.
Don't know if the retro bits would work well. I can only tell that i had the retro-bit gamepad with the sega connector and it died half after half a day. And i see that also back on Amazon reviews.
My Retro bit is holding up. I'm sure Qwerty is probably even more efficient for data input. PUMPT! When are these going to be available from the webstore?
I'm currently busy to get the new firmware release out first (with some surprises...). After that I will put all effort to get it ready. A first batch is actually already produced but it needs some little more on the firmware side.
In other words... I hope as soon as possible!
