*NO BUG* shift+start on row not working when using jump
#1
Bug
Hi Thomas,

If I have jump to step commands on my patterns..Shift+start on row works when nothing is playing yet.. But when I have a row playing and I shift+start on a different row..That row blinks but never starts playing.
This only happens when there is jump to step commands on the patterns. I don't want to have to remove the jump commands because thats how I loop patterns I am still working on and I don't really want to go back to making islands.

Also..
Clone pattern still stops playback.

actually it's not just shift+start on row. It also happens when playing start on individual patterns.
The only other way around it is to press play from inside a pattern.

Well as the patterns never stop (cause of the jump), they don't go to another pattern. You can simply leave them by pressing 2x start and use the quantized mode by that. I tested that and all works as intended.
I could think about it though when another pattern is selected to leave the pattern at the jump position which would work then like a break. Seems to be the probably better solution.

And i think you missed another new feature for pattern cloning.
If you press SHIFT+OK on the sequencer screen while on a pattern number, it will clone the selected pattern into a new pattern Smile

Hi Thomas,

The new shift+ok clone pattern is nice!! I did miss that. Cool!

However, I still am having same problem with double shift+start from sequencer page (even with quantize to 1 step).
It works on pattern page, but not on sequencer page.

it works on one track and not all the tracks so for example if i have tracks 1,2,3,4 all with jump commands..
I double shift+start on a row on track 1 from sequencer page (when the patterns are patterns already playing, because it wont happen if from a fresh start).. That track will play but the other tracks won't switch to the new row. Now If I double shift-start on track 2.. That will start playing but track 1 and the other tracks won't switch over to the new row.

Ok i see. It still works as i intended it. The only thing that is missing though is the Quantized play for the whole row. It works well for only one pattern (regardless of the screen you are in). I didn't implement the quantized play option for the whole row by using SHIFT+PLAY+PLAY in this release yet.

Practically i see also the smaller issues and i will make the small changing for the Jump/Break command, so that when another pattern is marked to be played next, the pattern will break on BRK and ignore the jump.

I upgraded these functions so when selecting another pattern the jump works like a regular break then, quantized and not quantized.
SHIFT+PLAY+PLAY to trigger the whole sequencer row still need to be updated.

That and more in the new released V1.11
