Sample track WAV/RAW base sample rates?
#1
My forum and user manual “search fu” is failing me, so to quickly ask:

The manual states that “the Basenote is C-4 which represents the original sample speed.”

I assume that for WAV files the header is used to determine the sample rate (but please let me know if it assumes something else) but what of RAW files? What sample rate is assumed for them?

Currently only 44k1 samples will play normal at C-4. I have preparations for other sample rates, but since 44k1 is like 99% used, i put it down in priority on my 2do list.

Raw files will always be treated as 44k1.
PLEASE use the search function if something have been asked or discussed before.
Every (unnessesary) forum support means less time to develop! But of course, i am here to help!  Smile

Thanks for the quick response!

I have some sample packs in mind, eg old drum machines, that likely could get away with having some or all samples at a lower sample rate, eg 22050, in order to more easily fit into memory some of longer samples, but until if/when NerdSEQ can do so more natively I suppose a decent enough workaround is to just export them raw at 22050 and then trigger C-3. (I may also soon try out bringing in some old-school Amiga tracker samples. Sorting out those sample rates for the NerdSEQ is going to be, I’ll just say, a little more involved. Should be cool, though.)
