The chances are zero. But you can always connect minimal speakers on the headphone output.

When you say ‘not before the end of the year’ do you mean it will be probably at the end of the year or probably Q1 2021?

Also a few more questions about it:
- if it is more sample focused as a stand alone unit vs. Nerdseq modular, will there be a filter implemented?
- is the sample time (150 seconds) the final spec?

Thanks!

Yes Q1 is more likely. I currently got to get some work finished first until i get back to the portable.

- Yes it is more sample focussed including synth engines (like the FM engine which i just implemented in the NerdSEQ) and of course filters.
- 150 at least but most probably more. Don't forget this is 150 seconds, stereo 16 bit, 44100.  (with mono it would be more than 300 seconds etc..)

Is it too soon for another question?  Big Grin

Wondering whether you can tell us anything more about the plans for the portable now that the nerdseq eurorack firmware has been finished and released?

Personally I'm wondering about the sampling process - I understand you will be able to sample into the device directly, but...
-Will you be able to edit samples on the device?
-Will you be able to resample a sequenced output?
-Will you be able to automate sampling using fx (kind of like sample trigs in octatrack)? This would be really cool as it would allow for all kinds of interesting live sampling and looping possibilities.

Maybe I should save these for the NS portable feature requests, but I'm just interested on what your ideas are about it at the moment.

Thanks for all your great work!

Thanks. All fine and I hope you had also some good days.

The Portable is behind schedule and this because of the fact that I finish now all the hardware that I had in a pipeline (and already produced) for the NerdSEQ until release.
If that is finished I will put 100% of my work into finishing the portable. I expect to continue with the portable in Q2.
