MIDI Drum mapping
#1
Hi,

I would like to use only one nerdeseq midi track to manage 4 voice drum as midi tracks manage 4 notes. (my midi interface is Mutant brain... i need notes and trigger to select sample in my sampler for each drum voice).

But i can't achieve this...because it's a polyphony mode and the second note is triggered only if first one is active. i assume i would like that all four notes independant (and not polyphonic)... or that each note got his own midi channel.

Is there a way ? how to configure nerdseq and mutant brain for this goal ?

Thank you

Hey,

the midi tracks are 4 voice polyphonic but each note is on it's own, there is no 'the 2nd note works only if the 1st note played'.
There is no polyphonic with midi generally, just the info which notes are on and off. (which makes it polyphonic then)

So i think you can manage this only with the mutant brain setup.

Hi, brand new owner here. I am successfully sequencing Bitwig's drum machine from Nerdseq. It's awesome.

Hi,

How do you configure that ? can you trigger four sounds individually with one midi nerdseq track ?

Four sounds simultaneously, but obviously it is possible to sequence many more sounds by changing the notes on each track. So track 1 could do kick/tom, track 2 could do open hat/closed hat etc.
